Hi Folks ~ I have the matched pair and have used them for vocals, drum overheads and acoustic instruments, but I've never used them on a cranked guitar amp. I'd like to place one about 2" from the grill, but don't have a SPL meter.
I think they can handle up to 128 decibels, which is pretty loud, but I want to make sure.

Anyone have any experience?

Thanks ~

Hmm I;ve always found Rhodes to be great for vocals but not sure about picking up acoustic instruments. What I can say is that they are pretty sensitive and when I'm recording it picks up the sound of cars driving past about 20 metres away from the room I'm in so I have to really get a good closed environment.
