Rode NT3

NT1 and NT3

Comparing these two is a bit of an apples and oranges thing, isn't it? The NT1 is a large-diaphragm and the NT3 a small. They will each have different transient response for just that reason, and will be better suited to different applications.

John.. everybody says that you can't stick a C1000S into a bass drum, but I've had no problem with it! Remember, the C1000S is rated 1%THD at 137db.

Perhaps it depends on the bass drum 8-).. Anyways, the NT-3 really looks like it's gaining some speed on the C1000S, but I'm not ready to make the switch. I would, however, probably consider a r0de large condenser over an AKG.
