I would just like to say, if you want to record some amazing vocals this microphone is the way to go. The price is right, but buying a quality Channel strip/Compressor is highly recommended. I would recommend any focusrite product as they endorse Rode microphones and for good reason. If anyone agrees with this I would like to hear some feedback on personal experiences with Rode Products, as my experience has been nothing short of amazing. :)
good day to everyone.

The 1000 is probably the only Rode I don't own.
Have a large assortment of the other models made by Rode plus others that have been modified.
Just great microphones all of the way around for the price.

I just bought my second one, they sound great. A NT1000 is basically a NTK without the valve. I can't believe how cheap they go second hand.

The only thing I don't like about the NT1000 is that its single pattern with no bass roll off or pad. A pad would be useful as they are loud.

Cheers
Alan.

Yup I just had seen one used at GC going for $125. Maybe I'll swing back on over and pick it up.
I was looking at it and noticed that the head basket is much bigger than say the NT1a and did look impressive.

Just got back from purchasing the NT1000 from that store and gave it a try on a few different micpres and I was pleasantly pleased with how it acted. ;)
Not a bad investment for the used price. The microphone is a bit heavy too!
