Rode NT1 - for my voice?

There's no rule forbidding more than one tube in the signal chain. :) Those two pieces might work very nicely. I think those great old Beatles records had more than one tube in the signal chain. :D

Give it a listen and see. The NTK is certainly a gorgeous mic, by all accounts. I haven't had opportunity to try one yet, but it's on the list, so to speak.

Dead Alibis, How the Story Goes, Lindy, and pretty much everything else there with vocals was recorded with the NT1 and a TubeMP through a Delta 44.

I like it quite a bit. The hyped high-end is a reality, but since I always boost the high-end anyway, I have no problem with it.
