I have a blue bottle now, i am thinking about returning it for a rode k2 tube....i am using it for only vocals?

anyone have a rode k2 ? u think this is a good trade?

I'll give you 2 AT 4033's for a Blue Bottle. :D

Surely you must mean a Baby Bottle...

I've got a K2.

You don't have a Blue bottle dude you have a baby bottle - huge difference.

If I had to choose between the baby bottle and the K2, I'd lean towards the K2 but the baby bottles are just so perfect for some sources so you should really own both.

i have experience with neither, but from what i can gather the K2 is more versatile than the baby bottle - most people seem to say that the baby bottle(along with all blue mics, at that) is great on some things and shit on other, while the K2 seems to be a solid all-around mic

Actually the k2 is crap on some things also, just like a U47 is crap on some things. The thing that makes the K2 more versatile is it's multipattern not the sound. You can put it in figure 8 and grab some room ambience (if the room is good) if you want. The Baby Bottle is cardoid only.

Not even! The kiwi, cactus, big bottle are far more versatile that the K2 just not as cheap.
