Hi, I'm looking to insulate and deaden my studio. I have had difficulty finding a local seller of rigid fiberglass, or rockwool. I have finally found a company than will sell me Rockwool Flexi Slab. Will this do for insulation and absorbsion?

To know if/how suitable it is, we'd need to know specifically the brand and 'model' so absorbtion coefficients can be studied. What is it's intended purpose normally? Is it wall insulation?

I'm not actually sure. They were rather vague in the discription. Ok, they have given me websites to look at http://www.knaufinsulation.co.uk/ and http://www.rockwool.co.uk/ what is the best products at a reasonable price from these 2 sites for equal absoltion at all levels?

Looks like the Flexi will do a good job for either and comes in decent thicknesses for bass absorbtion too. The 100mm stuff has some nice numbers to it but still isn't all that great below 200Hz or so. You'll likely need some extra thickness/spacing to do the trick.

I'll say that neither of those sites is terribly user friendly in finding what you need.

Is there any better than flexi? Like good numbers in all ranges? I do not have a great deal of space so can't afford extra thickness/spacing. My room(shed) will be 14' x 8' and i will be making it into 2 rooms, lol. Yeh i am having difficulty navigating this site and finding what i want.

Either of those would work fine. I was just trying to stay with what companies you were asking about. Assumed there were availability issues. I was surprised not to see those on their site.

What would you say would do the best job from both those sites that wont use up too much space?

For bass control, use a 6lb - 8lb/cu ft equivalent rockwool. For general reflection and decay time control, use a 3lb-4lb/cu ft equivalent. Either product will work. I believe the only difference is the bonding agent (don't hold me to that) and that's more of a fire rating thing. I believe their acoustical properties for the same densities and thickness are about the same.
