I haven't had the chance to check out Home Depot, but how does this sound:

and is this the right rock wool?

Their 3x8x36 slabs sound like a nice dimension - just wrap and hang.

You want something more like this:

6-8lb for bass absorbtion, 2-3lb for reflection points.
