I actually live in the delta in cleveland which about 25min east of Rosedale.. I'm from Greenville...you know "Greenvilles famous for its pussy!" Thought that was pretty funny. There's still blues here and some damn fine musicians. A lot of it really sounds the same now though. A lot of those old juke joints are still around but most have closed and on any given day there will be a ton of blacks young and old sitting outside a store or front porch drinkin 40s. :D We actually went a couple of months ago to see Roberts grave in Webb, Ms I believe it was. I believe it was at Mt. Zion church or something like that but I don't know if the body's even there cause it's been moved a few times. If I get a chance i'll post some pics.

If you are from Greenville, you have probably heard Johnny Crocker, Duff, and Billy Marquis play guitar....and Fish play keyboards.

They are all really good musicians (legendary with the local delta crowd).

you're wrong, the fact that there was a singer called tommy johnson doesn't prove he's the guy in the film.

it clearly is robert.

Keep on guessing... Remember that lake they flooded...?? It was Arkabutla Lake... It was flooded in in 1943.. Being that Tommy Johnson was standing there with 'em when the waters came rushing in and the fact that Robert Johnson died some 5 years earlier in 1938, it could NOT have been Robert Johnson.

Come on ya gotta pay attention to the details.. LOL

Hey Crash,I see you are in Memphis.I lived there for about 4 yrs.(92 to 96)
One of my guitar buddies there was named Bill Craddock, but everyone
called him Crash.

There was a cool song on the radio 15? 20? years ago by, if my memory is correct, a Billy "Crash" Craddock. Same person?

I think it was a country song (I only heard it a couple of times) but it reminded me of the Outlaw's "There Goes another Love Song" Don't ask me how I remember this. I don't remember where I parked this morning.

The guy I am talking about got his nickname because he had the same
name as the guy on the radio.
