I'm really intrested on how the RNP is on the Kick and Snare. Will it handle the low end on a dynamic kick?

I would like to know what else you use it on.

THanks, G

It's a good all purpose pre. Works just fine on kick and snare. API is a bit more aggressive on drums if you want that sound, but the RNP works just fine. We are just talking about different flavors of good here. IMHO, you will be better able to get substantially different sounds by changing mics and positions than by changing from the RNP.

I have 4 channels of RNP,
Honestly there is nothing I wont run through them.

Sometimes I like the sound of a DMP-3 on acoustic guitar more, but it is a close thing.
The RNP has a thicker misrange, and just a hint of color..

I agree with what those guys said (though I do not know the dmp thing)

Kick snare overheads. All good.

Guitars - no problem

Bass direct? Fantastic!

Vocals? Good, but better with an RNLA inserted.

Very good value.
