Cyan... save a few bucks and do a component upgrade and then call your self done on buying equipment. You have a decent enough front end now. Maybe chase down a used Fatso or distressor and you are rocking.

to tell you the truth, I love the way it sounds right now . I would not change it. I think I still need to play with it on the 4033 but on the blueberry, its spot on for a warm, inviting sound.
As you said, a nice compressor is hopefully in the works. I was wanting to get a nice, airy vocal mic, but I cant seem to find anything for under $1500 that will deliver the goods. So I might just have to go with one channel of distressor ( or rca) then hope for a lawson or something.
