Hey I just updated from a Delta44 to the FF400 so I am real psyked to get cracking with it and see the difference in my recordings!
But.. whenever I try to record with my mic and play back the wav file is just distorted very hot signal peaking, poping and clipping..
have tried playng around with the Software Mixer lowering all the chanels, I have the 'Input Gain' on 10dB, but the Recordings still come out with very high peaks, clipping and poping.. (also when I turn down the volume in the mixer it becomes very quiet in my cans making it hard to record)
What am I doing wrong? or what could I try to fix this?
Im mainly recording just vocals, chain is as followes..
Rode NTK - Voice Master Pro - FF400 - Sonar 6 Producers edition. (PC)
Is there anywhere where I can find basic info on how to set up all the settings in the mixer..??? I am reading the manual but for someone like me with a lack of knowledge about gear and recording I am finding it quite difficult..
Thanx!
