Hi. I have just got a new Daw based on Cubase SE and a RME 9652. My problem is that can't make it work. I can only see 8 of the RME's inputs, and only the first one works. What am I doing wrong?

Where did you get your DAW from? Surely, if you have purchased it as a ready built DAW then it should be ready to fly.

What are you using to send signal to the RME? You also need to activate all of the inputs in Cubase before you can map them as usable inputs. You also need to make sure that one of your RME optical ports is not set up to be s/pdif. All fo this is in the manuals:)

Please explain your setup in detail.

You'll get better answers.

The trouble was SE. Se can only take 8 inputs. I've upgraded to SL3. Here is my setup:

Computer:
Asus 8 Sli SE
Amd 3800
1 G Ram

Windows XP pro (sp2)

RME 9652
Behringer ADA8000 (2X)

Cubase SL3

I can now see all of the input/output ports of the RME, BUT I still can't multitrack for some reason. I try to asaign all of the ports to different busses, but I can only get sound in from the first bus.
