To the guy supporting 9 kids in Africa..most of the software I get creacked is fro big companies..evil companies that probably exploit third world labour..not small ones so im sure you'll beable to afford some rice foor your kids this week. But even if you can't, what can I say, I am not willing to give up the sweet pleasure I get from d/ling free illegal software just to support your family. Sorry.

This is a mind blowing statement. Someone doesn't have a father in his life. You could use this to justify (to yourself) anything. Sure hope boobbox doesn't hear these words from behind him as someone soaps up his ass in prison. Luck kid.

You know, it's sad that most people don't realize that quite often, there's a free or really inexpensive program that will do pretty much the same thing as the four grand software. Software that's LEGAL to download and use.

In the example you give, 3D renders can be generated by POVRay (Persistence of Vision Raytracer) and one of a baker's dozen front ends. Check out http://www.povray.org/ and see what this freebie's capable of.

The sames goes for any type of software. There's most likely a free or cheap alternative that will get the job done for you, without resorting to stealing the fruits of someone's hard labor.
 
stealing is bad! getting caught is worse! but i think what would be funny is if the company you stole from sues for the rights to whatever you made from it and it ends up being a multi million dollar product. you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you made it and they'll have the satisfaction of knowing they own it and all the money made from it
