what'll happen is he'll get arrested on possesion of drugs..his house will be searched and they'll find the pirated software and he'll end up with a 45 year sentence and 2 million in fines.. he wont be a dumb ass in prison....he'll be some sweet ass
 
Hmm...Interesting hobby, your "ripped" (you mean cracked?) software.

I have a hobby too. I write viral code into programs and put them in my Kazaa shared folder to be downloaded by twelve-year-old-mentality assholes who steal software.
 
Yes it's 100% wrong but if theirs a college student getting into 3D graphics it's very unlikey they could shell out four thousand dolars for the program and well it's wrong but some software is just too overpriced for the normal man to get.
 
that'll set me back a few keg parties but its doable

Wow, dudes, I see this is a sensitive issue. Hey i just like to use crackec software because it gives me a buzz. I never have trouble with virus' because I have a great Norton antivirus ststem that i downloaded at a crack from Kazza..it works great and weeds out anything that is not kosher.
I don't see that I am costing companies any money because it's not like I was ever going to payfor it anyway. Simple as that.
To the guy supporting 9 kids in Africa..most of the software I get creacked is fro big companies..evil companies that probably exploit third world labour..not small ones so im sure you'll beable to afford some rice foor your kids this week. But even if you can't, what can I say, I am not willing to give up the sweet pleasure I get from d/ling free illegal software just to support your family. Sorry.

theres more involved in stealing and actually keeping an aston martin than software....third world countries out in the fields arent making this software....they hire asian computer programers that take over american jobs. I'd probably be quicker to harass a companies profits if they are in america and arent hiring americans.....that is unless its a japanese restaurant....I like being served by suki yamasaki in her petite kimono vs. bertha down at the local ihop...not ragging on ihop though...late night pancakes and sausage is great....especially when the japanese food wears off

i never said i was stealing anything actually and i'm not taking a stand on any political issue. I'm just stating what i'd probably be more likely to do and not anything I've done....i'm curious to know what software is made overseas and what is made here entirely though. that in no way says I'm all for the whole "buy american" i couldnt tell you what in my room was made in america lol. maybe the empy coke bottle? and as for the rest of that...i'll try to restrain the overwhelming urge to curse back and chalk that up to you having a bad day or something

Great! Does that mean it's ok for me to steal software made in US? We do have a few good audio developers here in Sweden - but I do see a lot of free software coming my way if this is your take on things...

Well, that's why we in school download and use Maya Academic, which is distributed free. :) Same functionality at a nice price... :)

Personally, I don't see the point in ripping/warezing/stealing software when there are so many free alternatives out there. GIMP instead of Photoshop, Ardour instead of Sonar or Cubase, OpenOffice instead of MS's suite, Linux instead of Windows...

Instead of stealing from the big guys, why not check out what the little guys have to offer?
 
stealing is wrong period...remember the golden rule boys and girls...do unto others as you would have done unto you lol
