Ripping CD's

Hi

I've been making CD's on my stand alone recorder at home and then ripping them onto my work PC using windows media player. I've only just noticed that their are two further options to the standard WMA, (lossless and variable bit rate)

Would it be worth my while in terms of quality to rip my CD's again using one of these options?

That depends. If the cd's you are ripping from are the actual cd then yes.

If you are creating cd's from MP3's at home don't bother. It will just be a high bit rate copy of a bad source to begin with.
