Ringing During Playback!! HELP

I'm using Adobe Audition 3.0 and during playback I'm getting a constant ring. Even when i normalize the tracks it's still in the track. I'm using a Fostex VF80ex to power my mic(AT4047) and a Lexicon Lambda interface to monitor my levels. I arm track 1 on my mixer and press record, from the headphones output i run the cable to line 1 on my interface and this allows me to record to my computer instead of the mixer. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to fix this?

For a ringing problem, I would suspect your room is the culprit. Is it treated?

What's the point of using the Fostex VF80ex? Why don't you just plug the mic into the Lexicon interface?

The sound isn't as crisp, i'm guessing because the vf80ex has more phantom power.

The room is concrete with half inch drywall.
