i do love smilies...
hi there.
i recently recorded a song, and to get a slightly radiohead-esque sound to the guitar solo, i used a Bad Monkey over drive pedal, and then added a 'ring modulator' plugin on Cubase.
the final effect is on the recording of "Please Don't Learn" at http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=558365 towards the end of the song.
i was just a-wondering if anyone had any thought how i could achieve this effect live? i'm thinking maybe some heavy flanging effect might help, with some very short delay, but i was wondering what was possible with the Electro Harmonic Micro Synth... has anyone used this, and have any idea what it's capable of? my last thought would be trying to pick up something like a second hand Kaoss Pad (which i think would be useful for other things too.) and use a very short sample of some playing, and use the Kaoss Pad like only a Kaoss Pad can be used
any thoughts?
Andy
