If you don't need phantom power now, later on, you will really regret not having it. And although both Fast Tracks are approved Pro Tools interfaces, you can use them with almost any software, and you may find Reaper more intuitive.-Richie

What Richie said... wouldn't buy anything without phantom power - too restricting. Used to power condenser microphones, which you'll get to wanting soon enough...
