I finally got time to post one of my tracks to the Soundclick page (once I was happy with the mixing job that I could do).

Enjoy listening.

yo Fiev, that beat is dope player, the horns sound nice in that joint, i think this was sequenced nice. although i like all of the verses i think the strongest verse was the last, i like that " i'm like snoop i drop it like it's hot" the way you mimicked his voice made that a dope line. something about the chorus sounds a little rushed to me but only during the "they go chop, chop like some blades man". the hook reminds me of " riding spinners" by 36 and i think you can really set this song off if you changed the hook. i see your potential man, and i hope you understand what i'm saying.

Funny, because I based the song off of Ridin' Spinners because I love 3-6. Hmmm....the hook sounds rushed? I'll have to look into that.

i edited the post a bit, i meant the second half sounded a little off timing like it came in just a little too fast, it may just be my imagination. i feel you with the hook, i just want you to be prepared for the hood critics.

EDIT:

i've been listening to this song on repeat, and i also turned up the volume in my headphones so that i can feel the energy. i'm liking this song.

Yeah there's hood critics in every corner. That's just part of biz. I come to fam first for honest opinion that I can take to the bank.

yeah man, if i have room for improvement i want somebody to let me know before i get my ass on stage.

Sup Fiev!
I like the cut.............I'm feeling the beat and the lyrics. (And like Jug said, that Snoop imitation was sweet! NICE HOOK TOO!!!) My only critique is that I think it was a tad bit off (More noticeable the 2nd verse on.....) When I say off a tad bit, I MEAN tad bit...... "LYRICS to BEAT RATIO" (Very little, but noticeable.....) Everything else was sweet though! No Other Complaint from me, I'm feeling it.....I say "Welcome to Hollywood"........Nah, do your thing bro, I'm feeling that!

Yeah nice track but where is the snare? I was ready for a crack or snap of something to pop in but it never did. That's probably why it sound off. Well at least to me that's why. It's a hot track I love the horns.

Sometimes I use the snares....sometimes I don't. The beat sounded good before I even went there with the snares and I dropped the clap volume so the synths and horns would come out better. I've loved that reverse I put on it.

Yeah, I like it as well. I agree with everything that has already been said about the snare (should be more prominant in my opinion, but I'm a snare kind of guy) and at times it seemed you were a little off beat. Overall though it's a good track. I love the way the horns sound.

"Mr. Big, Mr. Big, The Call me Mr. Big" you got that Mr. Big flow from Mobile,AL ..the track and the verses are hot..but to make it a classic..you need to add a three 6 mafia snare hit..to rep Memphis 10 to the fullest..the snare hit hor this song will set it off ..just add some snare hit and it complete..

i use to do the same thing record without a snare..cause some track sound good without them..but if you listen to it and make the snare sound or clap sound while you listening to it..then you will be like ..yeah i should add it.. this is why i want to redo the 1st album i produced for my boys "Lost Talent" cause some of the song i left out the snare..or it wasnt loud enough..overall the trAck is a killer..good work..

Heh....well I guess it would be pretty easy to go back in and make it a little louder in reason.

or just record the snare into it like it is..just make sure the levels are just the way u want them..either way it will work..

thas a bangin track right there....yessir!! I have no critiques for it i like it as it is (snares a good choice though) and you can find this song by goin to his soundclick page.

Damn, I'm surprised this post came back actually.

It's been a while since I worked the mic. I'll be back once I get finished writing and practicing the new material.

Thinking back, I went through a lot and slumped through 06, 07 is going to have to have more push in it.

i still think you need to add a louder snare..to make it a complete banger
