Ribbon Mic shoot out.

The ribbons really sound very similar to each other on my PC speakers. A/Bing with the SM-57 really shows how ribbons smooth out the top end. I liked the ribbons for that song. I have the Beyer myself.
 
I hear you on the ribbons but the SM57 didnt have the boomy flub I didnt care for, if that low muffled end was eq'd out it would have been more interesting. While the 57 had that bite and more mid range, it might be that way because the low end is gone already.

the beyer seems in the middle, my favorite.
it loses some 57 bite and is more pleasent and at the same time loses the "humpy-mic stand boom mubby woomp sound" the ribbons all seem to have picked up (a full range mic I guess does that).
