Revised mix of old tune - sound ok?

Well....the vocals are loud enough now.....I find the gits are still too low and the main thing I hear of the drums is that constant cymbal.....The guitar ride still needs to come up ..... in fact everything in the rhythm section needs to come up.
 
I'll go with the good Lt. here, get that rhythm section up. The b/g vox were hard to hear, but it sounds like you just doubled your melody line.....man this song is screaming for harmony b/g. Oh, BTW it's a good tune and I know squat about mixing, so take it for what it's worth!

I don't think the mp3 format helps the cymbal problem but I have to admit, its bugging me too. I've tried to bring down the highs which helped a little but not enough. I'm trying to talk my friend into setting up his old drum kit so I can record real drums. Wouldn't that be great! I hate these damn machines.
