This is a second version and a tad incomplete, its a big motha.

Mixmaker-Guitars
David-Violins, electric violin, keyboards and synths
Frederick-Samples

This will have a few more "rock" instruments/parts

March/Scaffold

This is a pretty complex piece. Music by Berlioz kinda, at least until we ruined it.

Great playing & recording all 'round david. Good synth sounds too.
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to come together with a , for want of a better word, "vibe".
Really, I enjoyed listening to the parts, the instruments the panning etc but wasn't grabbed by it.
Sorry Philistines like me I guess.
I've enjoyed previous efforts - keep at it.
Cheers

Thanx for listening. :)

I agree 100%, thats why I posted it not done. I cant really figure out what to do with it.

T THINK I am gonna have to get a drummer on this thang. Somewhere there is a good piece/arrangement hidden in this mess, I just gotta figure out what the heck I can do.

This is really cool, it's something I haven't heard too often... electric guitar mixed with orchestra. I really like it. Really I don't know if it was your intention or not, but it ends up feeling kind of random and unpredictable, which personally i really like. Keep working on this man, I don't have many suggestions for it's a little out of my scope, but this is great stuff and has serious potential. :) Good luck ;)

I love the sounds man. Great depth here. There is a lot happening, and It never seems to get messy. The interaction of everything is pretty amazing. Great playing all around guys. Nice recording and mixing also. A wall of sound, with definition.

Excellent Guys.

This is great!
Want an off-the-wall (of sound) suggestion? Well, regardless - here it is anyway. Add a piano track, themed with variations, to give a unifying element. (only a thought - don't hate me :o )

Dont worry, I promise I wont hate you :D

Thanks for listening fellers. I have somewhat of a "keyboard" part planned as well as more electric violin to balance with mixmker's geetar. I am trying to think of a way to get some drums on this.

Over the years I have learned one important thing:

I am a horrible rock musician :o The classical I can nail, the rock Is a lot harder for me, I am too geeky to get it. I will try and rock out on this thing a bit, but it's probably gonna sound like Classical boy trying to rock out. I'm frightened, hold me. :(

Another amazing piece of music DavidK. I've only had a chance listen once, but I've downloaded it for listening later while I'm traveling this week. I need to listen to this a few times to take in the details. Very cool mixture of sounds with the violins, guitars and samples. Good mix job on this monstah! :D

Hey David - I think it sounds great. Seems like you and Mixmkr and Frederick are working well together.

It would be interesting to hear it with Drums but I'm not convinced it needs it really.

Sounds like this would be a bitch to mix also. Lots of parts fade ins etc..

Good job again!

Thanks for checkin it out, recording brethren.

I fixed some of this today: I added some YES-type keyboards. I am finding that imitative orchestra synths work best when they are on the same page with abstract sounds. I will post this again sometime with the new stuff and hopefully some more percussion.

Hello David!
I must say that I admire you and your work. I know that this doesn't help much and you would, like everyone else, like more to here some suggestions and advices. I just can't do it man.
I can effort to criticize anything here. I just enjoy and dream about one sunny day I'm mixing my first rocky-classical song.
I never went to any music school and sure my musical abilities are retarded but I'm keep trying anyway.

Keep doing it!
