well of course haha =)

i love my mac.

im a mac....and your pc blows =)

my pc blows? I have a mac too!

I wish I had 4 gigs of ram instaed of just 1. how much did it cost to upgrade? And doesn't that void the warranty unless you get it done at an apple store / apple reseller?

i actually am attending university of missouri (columbia/ Mizzou)

they did it for 50 bucks i doubled the ram...

and it doesnt void warrenty, and it came with 4 year apple protection plan.

college= amazing deals

i also, got adobe CS3 mastersuite for 500$ thru the university (its a $2500 program)

Instead of reviewing your gear, how about reviewing your recordings (hint: MP3 Clinic)? Gear is largely irrelevant.

Having said that, I have a client working with Garage Band right now, and it seems ill suited for interchange of audio files and formats. Just based upon that, I would look at using different software.

I was thinking the exact same thing. You got there first though :p

Sony MDR-NC40 Noise canceling Headphones - pointless really DON'T mix with them.
Adobe Soundbooth(For Mastering) - don't really imagine you're actually mastering with this.
2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo - Not REALLY a mac then is it!
Garage Band - a starting point but you ought to think beyond this for the reason already given as well as file transfers when you want to UPGRADE!
Mate,
You've more gear than I did when I started (a Tandy Hiball mic and yamaha 4 track cassette) when I started so GO for it & POST recordings in the MP3 Clinic as advised. You'll get a lot of learning done there.

I'm a PC - and I can run 100+ tracks with scads of plugs at 96k.

Try that on your macbook.

OP: Setup sounds great. Post some stuff for us to hear, mkay?

That being said, you can record tracks in garage band and open them directly into Logic for editing/mixing. So you could use your student discount and get a copy of Logic for $89.

okay, so, i listened to you, i bought logic today =)

it looks really promising and i talked to the tech guy. he said it had infinite possibilities.

it was 150 not 89 sadly =(

still amazing for a 500 dollar program hahaha
