I don't know if this question, has been asked before, But I would like to know, if there is a way I can record my vocals on my 4 Track (Tascam 414 MKII) where the vocals sound Backward, or will I need some kind Of Program to do this? If so, is there any someone could recommend? Thanks For Info!!!

Sure! just fast forward the song to end, then turn the tape over.
Then arm the vox track then start singing. Oh yeah, If you want it to fit with the song, yuo'll have to learn how to sing the melody of the song backwards! HaHa!
Nah, you really can't to it. It would be an incredible feat. If it's just for a little snippet (for effect)thats in the song, then the way I told you would probably work. There are other ways, but I'm guessing you probably don't have the capability, equipment wise.

Yo Enuff-uno:

Can't tell you how to get things backwards; however, I can tell you how to get Alvin the Chimpmonk sound.

Put your song to cassette tape normal.

Take that tape and insert it in a dual deck tape deck that can record at high speed.

Make a recording to another tape at high speed and run that sound to another tape deck and record it.

Voila = you will be listening to Alvin sing.

Did this to a gal who recorded here; strange, she has never returned after she heard it.

:D :p :p :p

Actually, you can flip it over. 4 tracks use both sides of the tape at once. You'd have to mix out to another tape deck, then re-record it in, but it'd work just fine.

Or.............................
Since you have a computer, you can take the vocals off of the Tascam, transfer them into Sound Forge, highlight the WAV. file, then press the REVERSE button.

;)

Don't forget that when you flip the tape over, the vocal will be on the opposite track.

Are you using this for an intro effect or for another reason?

I'll be using it, for an info. Thank you everyone, for the info...
