Stay away from that NaNo-garbage.
Check out a Lexicon MPX500 which now can be had at Sammy's

Thank you for your suggestion and I'm sure it's a great unit but it's a little too expensive.

Although the Alesis Nanoverb is not a fantastic reverb of the Lexicon standard,
It is my opinion that for it's price it is one of the best budget reverbs out there for a home recordist with out money. I think you can get one for about $100 these days. It suffers from a bad name given to it by the Nana compressor.

It doesn't have much on the editing side but for sound per what you pay, it's a good buy.

I don't like any other Nano's out there but the verb is not included in that group.

I'm not suggesting you buy the Alesis if you can find with your budget something else better. It is also not a pro quality Reverb, but If you don't have a dime and need a decent sounding reverb I would look into it.

Alesis Wedge...$150 US or less (discontinued, btw)...all the time at Ebay.com. By far and away the most adjustable reverb in the sub $500 range and it sounds great. I'd be skeptical of those that can hear any defects in the sound when combined in the mix with a couple of other reverbs. Not to mention a 2min decay time if you should be intereted!! Plenty of other effects too, but the reverbs are the prominant items in the Wedge. A hidden jewel, in my opinion. Much better than Alesis' rack mount versions. I have a half dozen of different cheap(and/or inexpensive) rack mount units (MPX100, ARTfxr, Alesis variety...)and two Wedges. I always use the Wedges first.

I just got the Lexicon MPX 100 and I really like it ! It sounds more realistic and is warmer than the nano verb. Thanks for the recommendation ! One question though ... Do u know of any effects units that are simple (but great sounding) "plate" units ? I really got to love the plate settings of the Lexicon and that's all I use. I think I only use 1 or 2 plates and don't seem to use any others. Please let me know. Thanks again !
