Reverb on kik?

Im talking about 13th step althoug both asstonishing drums. I was pretty sure that samples were used, but a few people swore to me in a different thread that the drummer was soo good that he didnt need to use samples.
Track 7 sounds awsome when the drums kick in.
The 3rd album is called emotive and its all covers im pretty sure.
You know much about setting up room mics? I use OHs to capture the kit and the cymbals. Could i use a D112 far away pointing at the kik drum to capture some room reverb?
 
you just pretty much listen around your room until you find a place that until the whole kit seems balanced. or you can do it the way you said and since you mostly just want the bass drum, you can roll off a lot of the hi frequencies and have some cool bass drum room sounds.

then you can compress the crap out of it.
 
Cheers Donkeystyle im gonna try the far D112 mic and see what it sounds like.

Thankyou, but i still have alot of work to do to get the results I know I am capeable of. Gonna post some new recordings in a few weeks so keep a look out.
