Reverb (FX) Automation in Vegas 5

I have a problem with with automating or changing reverb throughout an audio track in Vegas 5. I am using EXPress Reverb or Sony/SF Reverb and would like to lower the reverb level in between songs (it is a live recording, so there is talking, clapping, etc in between songs), but I can't figure it out. It seems like it's just one setting for the entire audio track! I can't believe that is the case...

This seems like a basic issue, but I need help.... Thanks!
 
put the reverb on an assignable fx send

right click the event area for the track that the reverb will be on in a blank section

choose " insert remove envelope FX 1(or whatever the number of the reverb is)"

add some points wherever you want the reverb send to go away and draw your envelopes
 
Yep, what pipeline said. Keep in mind that the track FX fader will still control the overall FX level.
 
Unless you right click the fx send control on the track and choose pre. There is a lot of grumbling about the change in signal flow for the fx send between vegas 1-4 and vegas 5 right now. The fx send routing has been changed to pre pan post volume, UGH!
