What do you guys normally put on vocals to make them brighter? I recorded some vocals and their very dry. I put a little reverb and a delay(133ms) but if I put it harder you here the reverb and delay too hard, if i turn it down, the vocals are too dry. How do I do this subtile?

What do you mean, you hear the reverb/delay too hard???

For brighter vox, try a brighter mic and or room. If it can't be retracked, try some eq, cutting the high end off other instruments might help make room. If all else fails, try boosting the high end on the vox a little.

For the verb, try differant types of verbs and don't stick with using just the presets. Get into the programs and tweak away. Try setting the delay to the songs' tempo.

Try:
Med and short verbs, low-rt's down (.2--.6...), crossovers highish -500--2K -makes for bright ambiences.
Predelay's out as if they're tempo delays -with short patches leads to treating 'verb' like 'slap' or diffuse echoes -or...
Go from the opposite end, treat short delays like ambient patches, and/or use delays with diffusion or pull up just the 'early reflection' part of some verbs.
130 ms might be a bit long for 'ambient' effect.
On and on and on...

With the delays you will probably use too much feedback - try two slapbacks R and L with 1/8 and 1/4 note delay time. will probably help a lot...
