well i retracked the guitars and left the direct signal alone no cuts this time. i still think the vox might be a hair loud but they are certainly more tolerable this time. the guitars are much more crunchy this time i found that the drums had so much bass in them that they were smothering the guitars when i retracked so i cut the low end on the drums a hair and wolla.i am realy enjoying this process and i realize that some of you guys are putting alot of time into listening and responding and i hope you believe me when i say that i realy apreciate it and the only way i can pay you back is to listen to your mixes as well. and i will do just that.
ive gott a mettalica song that im doing a cover on ive gott most of the music tracked but i cant sing it lol. if anyone would be interested in singing for whom the bell tolls let me know please. id love to collaberate with someone.the guitars on this mix have alot more balls and they seem to sit in the mix much better this time. i did lower the levels on the vox quite a bit so let me know what you think please and if your interested in singing for whom the bell tolls go ahead and email me and as soon as it is ready ill set it up. thanks guys for your patience and good deeds. god bless tim pate. i am uploading it wright now and when it is done ill put its here in the description so youll know. http://www.nowhereradio.com/artists/album.php?aid=1751&alid=-1 he died for you.

Your newest Mix/Metallica Cover

Hey i started loading your song, and it crapped out after 10 seconds. It sounded good, well what i heard of it. I'll try again later...and check your Private Messages...i think i know someone who would do your Metallica cover!

man i just dowloaded a drug calledh8 and it rocks my friend i love it. your guitars sound so fat man i gotta get a line 6 vetta head. your drummin rules to. and your vox are definately awesome. lovin it ill check my messages thanks.

Sounds pretty good. I'd personally start by bringing the guitars up a little. But I'm partial to loud heavy guitars to begin with. So I don't think the vocal is too loud...I think the guitars are too low.
I'd also like more kick drum.
Nice guitar solo. You've got some chops!

Peace
Tom

Hi tim pate,

I don't know if u have the software cool edit pro ... it could help you to clean the noise that coming from your distortion effect ...
Use the noise reduction option in menu... Select a quiet piece of the guitar track ... then choose noise reduction .... then it will anylize that noise ... after this select all the guitar track again and apply on it ... the plug-in will remove all that noise ... I don't know if it could help you ...
It helps mes ... so ...
Giovanni
ps.: I listened 'he died for you' again and it near my friend ... maybe the guitars it's just a little behind ... but u're almost there ...

Hey Tim...just so you know, A drug Called Hate, Hateless Void, and Break are my bands songs... Emotional Flatline. I play guitar and do backing vocals in the band. But i do record the band, and i am quite happy with our results. Want to hear some sic drumming...check out Hateles Void. The end of that song our drummer just rips out very, very, very fast drum beats... i think you might like it. But the other song...The Breaking Of A Spirit is all me on the instruments and vocals. I am gonna try and load your song again...and yeah Line 6 amps just rule. The Vetta is so sweet, and the power man. You gotta hear it. I hope my PM sent. Later

captiani i dont have cool edit yet id like to get it though. im not sure what you are hearing in the guitars because my zoom gfx8 doesnt let any noise but what your playing come thru, it realy has a advanced noise reduction, but you are the second person that has said they hear noises. hmmmm. i just dont hear it here on this end i burned it and gave it a listen and i couldnt hear anything like that on either of my stereos. thats weird. do you mean by the guitars being a little behind that the timing is off a little? thanks for the listen my friend.

sluice. thanks for the listen, i think after hearing it in so many stereos that the guitars are still down in level a bit also, i wish i could adjust the kicks level a little bit but i used midi drums and used sounfonts so they are all on one track and i already mixed it to audio and dumped the midi track. thanks again for the listen my friend and ill turn the guitars up a bit more.

ana;ytical man.... i will download hateless void i gotta check that out and i already have the breaking of a spirit and that rocks. make sure you check your p.m

hi guys, what im still looking for here is if whether or not anyone can tell if any of the frequencys are still killing eachother or not, like are the drums lows killing the guitars and etc. it took me a long time to even realize that this was possible even lol. but you guys realy opened my eyes and mad recording enjoyable for me again. im gonna go buy a set of good monitors real soon. my new drum kit came today, i ordered a set of pearls double bass kit, now i just gotta start practicing and buy some good mics. anyway thanks guys for all your help. god bless tim pate

rhythm guitars are too low, but also have a harsh sound to them.. bass drum is too low.. I just read that you were getting monitors? Maybe you should wait until you get them before mixing this one anymore.. I think this is the 4th or 5th remix I've listened to, and it's a little better each time, but the major problems are there everytime.. Maybe take a break from this mix until you pick up those monitors? I'm sure you'll be able to hear the problems more easily..

thanks for the listen again, i guess i will have to take a little break from this.i dont know which monitors ill get yet im only gonna have like 500 to spend but i should be able to get a decent pair for that amount. i guess what i might try a little later is to break out my j-station and retrack this with the mesa dual rec sound that should be better i havnt used my j at all lately because i wanna adapt to my gfx8 but i believe it is designed for for live use than recording. anyway i realy appreciate your listen and help again thank you my friend. god bless tim pate

I paid 300 for my monitors.. also, I used a J-Station with the dual rec sound on my last tune.. I think it will sound better than the gfx8..
