respect for an educated Emcee

Waddup yaw. I'm an Emcee trying to make it in the Hip Hop world. I go to college, I'm pretty well educated, and I love Hip Hop. My question is do you think some peeps are gonna hate cause I speak better english than alot of other rappers out there? Around me, it's really hard to find a lot of people into the scene. I'd like to see what everyone thinks.
 
I'm sure there is enough room on the scene for a new "Educated Rapper". ;)
 
good enough for me :) Also, if any producers/emcee's in the So-Cali area, hit me up.
 
I don't think that matters, if you got skills and you put out good music people can relate to then wether or not your english is good or bad you will get the respect you diserve its all about staying true to yourself. And if you rap to send a positive educated message out to the youth thats even better, more power to ya.

HELL YEAH.......peeps are gonna hate on you ......fa sho'!(not me though.......I don't give a fuck how you talk!)but I see that everyday out here.....if you talk too "clean"they'll call you "sell out "or shit like that.I hope that doesn't happen to you but that's what I see all the time.Not tryin' to sound negative but somebody is always gonna hate on somebody else over petty shit,even if you spit straight venom on the mic.Just shake them hatas off like fleas!

I'm around pomona/pasadena area. I'm either in one or the other. I learned that the only thing that one can do is just do yo thang, because not everyone is going to like your shit, so screw em. I got people who think my stuff is pretty good, so I'll just focus on dat.

your self to a bunch of cats who wanna hate on you cause you're schooled is a waste.....you could've been producing a multi-platinum hit or something...........keep ya head up

FYI...

Defari was an elementary school teacher before he really got on. Lots of cats were in college or finished before/during putting out joints, and I don't think it's affected their careers in anyway.

If you really think about it, the people who can't get past hatin on your speech....... really don't count.;)

The way I was raised I spoke extremely standard english and I was teased and picked on like a muthafucka for it as a kid. But when I started seriously rhymin, they had to respect my skills, no one could deny that.

As long as you're ill, you really don't have nothin to prove to the haters.
