Hi,
I got this from the sae site...I was just wondering about one thing. It says there that it has to be sealed airtight, where is the sealed piece for the front? Is there a board between the slats and the insulation (all I see is cloth backing)or is there a board on the back of the insulation?
Thnks...hope this makes sense.
Chris

Chris - you do not seal the front just the cavity behind the fabric. These are like a bottle... if you blow across the top, the air resonates inside, if there is a hole in the bottom of the bottle there is no pressure build up and the air won't resonate.

These traps of course don't generate a tone like a bottle of course but the air pressure created by the frequency(s) the trap is tuned to will be absorbed.

Kevin.
