researching acoustic insulation makes my head hurt

why is this ? there is no set rules on insulation

so many different kinds

so many different purposes

why is this so hard

its only insulation

i just want my room to sound nice

is that alot to ask?

Unfortunately, yes.

I can say I've read over every article on Ethan's website. Sometimes I'll forget stuff and have to re-read it.

While I feel much more comfortable with what I've learned, I still feel kind of lost sometimes.

I guess you just have to gain experience with trying out different things and see what works. Too much stuff to memorize without any experience.

So you're not alone.

It sucks. :(
 
Ethan's site is good, and so is John Sayers.

John's site has helped my mixing more than any gear I have bought - and I've bought a LOT! :)
 
yeah my mouth waters and i get jealous when i visit the sayers site ..... doc. said its not good for me
