Request on obtaining sound...

kk, time to out all those big softies... and dig out the CD :P

On Phil Collin's - Do you remember, can anyone tell me what makes the initial semi clean guitar sound so... how to describe it... Crisp yet warm?

It seems rather special to me, and I've been interested of late to try to emulate it... Is it all in the tone? or the method? Any help would be apprieciated... :)

sounds like a keyboard, chorused, and if there is a guitar in there its pretty quiet with chorus to thicken the sound of the piano
 
The guitar sound I hear (from a live version) sounds like a strat on the second out of phase pickup switch position, with some light delay and heavy reverb. I
