Replacing Midi with acutal Drums...

Hey guys. I have a question. If i have a midi recording of one of my bands songs(my drummer made it) and i have each part of the drum seperate(layer for snare, floor tom, toms, bass drum, hi hat). Is there a program where i can replace the midi sound with actual drum sounds?

Well... this is odd question because I never heard any program will play actual drums... You must mean sample of actual drum Yes. There's many option to choose. Name it fxpansion DR-008 and VSampler (those came with Sonar 2XL and Sonar 3 package), or third party like Kontakt, Giga Studio, etc. What Cakewalk do you use?

Or just record your drummer and use the midi drums as an elaborate clicktrack? At mix -down, mute out the midi drums.

Then you have VSampler 3, right? All you got to do now is search for nice drums samples. If it's rock / metal sound, then you may look for Drum Kit From Hell.

There is also a program called Drumagog that I think does what you are looking to do. You can use any sample you want, and it replaces drum hits.
