Rep Power

It's just a little perk that HomeRecording lets users have. Getting green rep from another member is like a high-five or a pat on the back.

Yours probably jumped from 0 to what it is now, right? It's cause your rep power won't appear until you get 50 posts, which you just cracked.

For $10 a pop via PayPal....you can get members to hit you with some positive rep. ;)

I have more rep than you, therefore I'm more worthy, richer, taller, a better musician, lover, songwriter and also better looking than you are...

Or something like that.

There are exceptions - guitaristic is taller than everyone despite not having as much rep as some. It's a difficult equation... :D

It's very true! Highly difficult mathematical theories and whatnot! ;)

And the higher the rep of the person giving it, the more you get--it's 1%. I have 21 million, and I just repped you--so I added 210,000 (approx) to your rep. The same is true for negative rep. When you click on the little 6 pointed star at the bottom of a post, you get to give that user pos or neg rep and leave a comment. You see your recently received rep and the comments when you click on "Settings" at the top of the page.

I considered doing that but wasn't sure if Bugz was worthy yet...

On the other hand, it could be a fun project to shoot him up to the max as quickly as possble, seeing I've yet to get there after only 11 years...

The coolest, most important rep, is the grey rep you get from members under 50 posts. I look forward to the grey rep. :D

By the way, if you happen to piss someone off, spam, or promote cracks, you can get negative rep'd. Points taken away and your pretty green bar goes red.

Yeah, that's what mainly confused me. I had waaaay more rep power than I was expecting to have. It threw me off lol

Once you get more than 1,000,000 you're also entitled to post in the Famous Dave thread and make rude comments about moderators' body parts...
