Hi, I'm looking for help rendering. This is my first render, I recorded the most basic stereo tracks to get started. When I rendered (at 16 bit) with no FX at all and listen back, its sounds like I'm listening to a really bad phase shifter totally wet. Thanks in advance!

If you render as a WAV, you should hear exactly what you hear when you play back your mix before rendering.

Are you rendering as a WAV or an MP3?

Is the 'resample mode' set to the best quality?

When I did it to wav it was fine and the resample rate was set to better not best which I will change to best. But when I tried to do a MP3 thats what happened it sounded like junk, whats the best why to get a final rendered track into MP3 format? I really appreciate the input, thanks Ralph.

When you render to an MP3, there are also quality settings you need to be aware of. If the 'Bitrate' setting in the rendering dialog box is 112kbps or less, then you will notice a marked reduction in quality.
