I'm trying to either find a way to remove as much as possible of the vocals from a song, or find a vocals free version. My fiancee's sister is going to be singing this song ( I wont say what it is) at our wedding. This is my chance to show her all this time I waste fooling with my gear can be used for good instead of evil. Anybody got any suggestions?

Yeah, its called Karaoke...or however the hell you spell it.
I dont know exactly where you find the material though, never used it myself.

Try www.analogx.com. They have a vocal remover, works by phase shifting (not the exact right term I think) so everything mixed dead in the middle - i.e. usually vocals - is removed. No promises but its worth a look.

I think it's free. Not sure if it's plug in or a standalone.

Anyway, more importantly, have a great wedding.

Edit - just found the direct link for you: http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/audio.htm

You really can't remove vocals from a prefessional recording so you would be better off spending your time looking for the Karaoke version.

Thanks, fellas. Maybe I'll just have them play some Zeppelin instead.
