removing vocals from stereo master

No trick... but qa technique to remove whatever's in the centre phantom image of a stereo track -- typically, on most mixes, this means main vocals, bass, kick, snare. You're left with everything else (vocal effects, background vox, and anything else not common to both channels).... so no, you won't be able to remove the vocals completely -- the effects will still remain....

The technique is to basically sum both channels to centre, but putting one channel out of phase with respect to the other.
