Remix... Please Rip away...

High Frequency is a remix that was recorded in late Dec 2000. The band subsequently disbanded. The drummer recently requested a copy of the two songs they recorded. So I decided to remix them and here's the first... High Frequency

Please rip away at my mix...

Very professional sounding.
The snare sounds a little thuddy to me. Probably could sound better with some eq tweaking.
The vocal part is very good, but except for the scream, it sounds pretty stagnant amongst all the changes the band is going through. My reflex would be to add some vocal harmonies, but my guess is that you don't want to do any more tracking.
The acoustic guitar sounds excellent, but maybe a little too loud.

Overall, great sound.

i cant find anything to pick on with the recording/mix....the snare sound wasnt my cup of tea, but that may be what they were going for.......

a side note is a non issue at this point : that was not a 7 minute song.....they have (had) a good sound going, but not good enuff to keep my attention that long......

these guys have been history for two years now... no more tracking... just a remix for the drummer.

so far looks like a consensus on the snare... but I actually like a duller smack... I'll give it another try though

sounds great over here...the intro was pretty cool.
i like the cymbal sound on this.not a big fan of the lyrical content but i think the singer has a pretty good voice at any rate. the changes in the song (i know this thread isnt about the song content )..but still the changes during the verses to me doesnt really match what it sounds like in the chrous??..like it was done TRYING to make the song standout ...and it does only in that it sounds strange...?...maybe its just me.the chorus sounds good . i like the voc effect at 4:30 or so...nice touch.

can you give a bit more insight... which changes... are you referring to the song structure or mix/effects?

yeah i meant the musical changes that synchopated rythym pattern in the verses ..the stoppy starty parts....make sense?...
