I figured I'd ask this here, since it's a keys and sound mod forum. Do any of you ever participate in these remix competitions?

Brazilian "ethno-groove" artist Atman (MCD World Music) is running a remix contest at www.RemixWorld.com/atman. Three tunes are up for remixing, you can check 'em out on the site. Atman fuses Indian classical music with downtempo/lounge beats, so the samples are juicy with tablas, sitar, scatting, flute, etc.
Stop by, check out the tunes, preview the samples with the Flash player - then download and remix if the spirit moves you! Atman will personally select his favorite remixes and award winners $100 USD and a spot on the upcoming remix full length cd release.
This is also a pretty killer chance to have your skills heard by some established artists and their associated labels. It's free, it's public, and it's fun. Good luck!
