Listening again now purely for entertainment purposes, but can't help adding a few more comments. :)

Firstly, I think I was not as attentive to your vocals before as I was so focused on the new addition of the gf. These are better indeed. I think you struck a better balance between accuracy and feel here...to my ear at least.

Second, I am reminded now that fat fleet (I believe?) specifically suggested you do the boy/girl '90's indie vocal treatment on this one, so props to him!

Lastly, I think you owe us an explanation on that snare. lol I don't think I mentioned it myself (?), but there has been consensus that the sound is just plain weird and most seem to find it distracting. I've seen a bunch of people ask you about it, but I don't think you've ever responded? C'mon...what's the deal with that? Sorry. lol

I hate the snare, too.
I tried EQing it (aka lipstick on a pig). :/

Sadly there's no better story than that. I'm all ears if you want to tell me what snare to use or how to EQ this sucker.

Nah, it's just that I don't know much about drum samples or software drums beyond loops. I've just never heard a snare quite like that one. I don't mind the smallish, lighter tone so much, especially for this track...it's just that weird double hit sound that others mentioned. It's like it has an incredibly short, but rather loud delay on it? I dunno. It's not a deal breaker. I was just messing with you as it did seem to be a theme, and I was just trying to get you to confess to some bizarre secret technique. lol

Haha. The secret technique is to run it through reverb incorrectly and then EQ it incorrectly.
