Release poster... Opinions

It looks good. I like it go ahead post it everywhere, how much it cost to print it?

I think we payed $25-30 for 75 11 x 17 full color gloss posters.

not bad, your design? where you go? the store next to me charges 39 cent a color copy, nevermind the gloss

Yea I did the deisgn here in the studio, the photos were take at a flood area in Lowell, about 45 mins from where I live. Thats my ex-girlfriend, she used to sing in the band, she still wanted to do the ads with her on them.

I got them printed at sir speedy in down town Boston, they do a good job, and thgey actually proof stuff before they send it back to you which is good.

I like the design, but is it supposed to be "prey" like "The lion hunts it's prey" or "pray", like "Let's pray before we eat"?

I'm asking because the girl is in a praying position on the CD cover.

Hey, how are you translating that Latin? I'm getting a couple of different translations.

Overall, though, I like it! If it only cost you as little as you say for $75, I might have to go that route when my CD is finished.
 
Yeah dude, you totally spelled "pray" wrong. The girl is in a "praying" position. as above stated, the prey you wrote of is "The animal finds its prey."

...you may have done thie on purpose....but I don't get it if you did.

Looks cool though.

Quit givin' the guy a hard time about the "prey" thing.....it's just a play on words! :D
 
Photo is great. Very personal. The only thing I don't like is the top font. I'm not a fan of that 3d effect.

Its supposed to be PREY like, she is our prey, the cover has a double meaning, the front her her praying, the inside is her praying, with a gun to her head.

The latin says "That which you desire most, is Whats Killing you" Its sort of a play off the name Cyanide Dependency :D

Yea, i didnt really know what to do there, I wanted a way to make the font a little more interesting, but nothing really came to me. I tried some quick bevel/satin filters and that was the best I could come up with at the time.

It's a bit on the dry side composition wise. I think it's the photo more than anything else, it's a bit dull. I'm also not digging the typeface used for teh title, but that's just me.

gotta agree.....to quite honest...It looks pretty amateurish...not trying to be a dick...just my opinion.
