Reinstall weirdness

Hello,

I'm waiting for my AA 1.5 CD to arrive but in the meantime I've been working with my CEP 2.0, trying to learn about looping. I haven't recorded anything else since I reinstalled on my new computer.

Today I had a looped drum track saved to session that I was trying to record a guitar track to. When ever I hit stop the track would slide to the right out of sync. In fact when I dragged the track back to what I thought was zero point it was still out of sync so obviously somehow the new track is not zeroing out. Does anyone have clue as to what is going on?

I'll have AA 1.5 installed by next week but I'd still like to know what is going on here.

I had the exact same problem with AA. try this to see what is going on.

Zoom wwwwwaaaaaayyyyyy in on the far left side of the track. Put your lil yellow line at the very beginning of the track and hit record. I think the track actually started recording around 0.020 ms. Very odd...im not sure what causes this myself. I just lock all my tracks when recording to make sure there is no shift...or record everything then zero out all the tracks.

Let me know your results if you do the zoom-record thing i mentioned.

Where you using a looped track during recording? I ask because when I was working with the looped track earlier before recording, I dragged the loop corner of the select loop out for several bars past the original loop "window". When I punched play the selection would only play to the end of the window/zoompoint and then stop. I couldn't get the selection to play all the way through till I selected the full track view.

Also I changed the original 4/4 selection to 3/4. I don't know if this would have anything to do with it either.

if you want playback to continue past your view window, right click on your play button and check out the options there and you can choose the one that suits you.

Yes at the time I figured that there was a simple solution and it was a default setting probably since I just reinstalled, but I just check my process again by making another loop track and the track played right on through with no setting changes. Like I said I'm waiting (5days) till my AA 1.5 CD arrives otherwise I'd probably try a reistall cause I'm having trouble with CEP recognising some of my plugins too.
