Say Something Smart!
I'm going to be buying the Asus A7V600-X MOBO for my new PC soon fron NewEgg.com. I can also get that same mobo from NewEgg, refurbished, for a better price. Now, I was reading their Policy on Refurbished Items, and it doesn't look too appealing.
Basically, it might come without cables, drivers, maybe it'll only come with the mobo itself! I'm really not sure it's worth the risk, but then again, who would return iit with nothing but the mobo, and how could Asus allow NewEgg to sell it that way?

Has anyone bought anything from NewEgg that was refurbished? Did it come with all the same parts as the new one?

Thanks,
Justin

yes I have.....and it only came with the mother board......but I got it for $40 cheaper then new and I downloaded and/or printed everything I needed from the manufacturers web site and bought some IDE cables from ebay for $1.75. I came out way ahead just check the Manufacturers web site to make sure they still suppport the MB (I bought a MB once and the manufacturer would not even admit they made the thing)

hey Justin
do you know your shit well about that stuff? sounds like a headache... i think i would pay the extra 40 for peace of mind. then again i'm a musician not a computer geek... ok maybe a bit of both.

Alright.
I was leaning towards just paying the extra cash and KNOWING that I'm getting everything.
I don't like taking chances like that!

Thanks for the help! :D

yeah that's a good idea if you're worried at all and can afford it.

I had a similar experience to sk8ingsnowman

i didn't get any sata cables or the one for the front usb, or the back plate...but i saved a lot of dough... then again, i also didn't get the newer revsion of the board :(

Thanks for the input, dopey.

Looks like I'll be sticking with the new one.
