hey,

i am switching my previous recording pc to be a homework machine as i have a new laptop and i cant get the built-in sound to work. PLEASE HELP! i need to have my homework music back.

its a dell PC running windows XP. before i had a delta 44 connected to it, everything worked fine. the audio hardware was set to delta 44, with no other options (i.e. no built-in card). i tried disabling the delta 44, which left me with no options.

in the options for the delta 44, i have the choice to enble(use) or disable, but for the built in sound card, the spot for this is greyed out and inaccesible.

how can i get past this and reactivate the card? it is still there and the status says it is working, but i cant activate it. i dont want to uninstall the delta 44 cause i will still use it for some projects.

HELP!!!

Press F2 on Startup --- > to enter SETUP
Re-enable it there. Save. Now, the system should see it.

I have many old DELL's .... done it many times
