Reel to Reel information needed

I need some help troubleshooting a reel to reel system. My problem is that when I turn the control handle to the play position it plays in fast forward! Any ideas???

You'll probably have better luck getting a response if you: a) post this in the Analog section, and b) specify what model deck it is.

Thanks for the reply. Being new to this how do I find the analog section? It is a Sanyo MR-929 model.

It's in the "Special Forums" section. Just click the BBS logo in the upper left and then scroll down a bit.
