Please check out my latest creation. For those of you who dug "Fatal Flaw," this is a bit, shall we say different. This instrumental piece was done about 98% MIDI and was almost totally inspired by bassist Tony Levin and King Crimson. Please enjoy and, as always, let me know what you think!!

You're right..very different from "Flaw"...dug the dissonance and the cool separation/panning...the change in structure at 1:30 was cool and the other change at 2:36 made for some excellent drama before returning to the starting bars...I have a feeling a certain member of this bbs who has a talent for midi composition and cat wrangling will like this song a lot....I thought it was great....gibs

I was just curious what's generating the drum samples you're using. I've never heard a sampled tom that sounded much like a real tom, but the toms on your song probably come the closest. :)

That's my trusty Alesis D4. I would love to get a DMPro one day, but for now I love building kits in the D4. Thanks for the nice comments so far. Glad you liked it!

Loved that switched-on Bach sound you got with that arpeggio.
The drums meshed well with the bass to make a smooth bottom for the piece.
Thought the crash cymbal crashed a few too many times, but it sounded good sample-wise.
What was the 2% that wasn't MIDI?
Do you sequence on a PC or a standalone?

Funny you should ask. The 2% audio was a couple of crash cymbal samples. I sequence using Cakewalk PA9. Thank for listening!

Sounded great man! You're right, it's a lot different than "Fatal Flaw". I really like what you did on this one. Impressive.
