redoing good sounding songs

i have a bunch of songs i've recorded over the past year. for this project, they're all acoustic guitar and vocals. over that time i've aquired a lot of new equipment, and the new recordings sound quite a bit different from the older ones. if i'm going to make a whole album, should i redo all the old songs so the guitars and vocals all sound similiar, or will it not be a huge difference for the listener? thanks.
