well i just went to the site and did some research.....2 RV6s plus shipping and handling to the US costs $156.55 pretty much the exact amount i paid for my mxl 603s lol you should get them in 7-14 days. barring any unforseen incidents like prince harry comadeering the plane so he can make a trip to germany or some dumbass american shines a laser in the eyes of the pilot while hes comming in for a landing.

i used http://www.aquariussoft.com/currency-calculator/euro_redir.asp to change the euro to the dollar so i'd know how much

I wouldn't rule out posting things over for people who I know well, if they sort the money out for me beforehand. One or two members have offered to do that for me from the States before so I can but return the favour. It may well work out cheaper to post them as gifts by standard airmail or whatever.

the mic above for the money sounds amazing i think i might get it. Any sound clips of your setup? you have the mixer not the pres hm.. i dunno id just like to get the sound in the comp then eq etc it, is that not a good idea?

£149 = $277 - that puts a lot of mics in your range like

http://www.frontendaudio.com/CAD M179.htm

Im gonna be buying the RVK5 set (drum mics without overheads), use an SM57 on the snare and a Behringer B5 as an overhead. Sound a good idea?

Sounds interesting ... make sure you compare the mic that comes with the 57 on snare, you never know, you might prefer it! Or it might give you an opportunity to have two mics on snare, top and bottom ... now wouldn't that be fun?

Has anyone tested the RV6 from Red5? They seem to have a good value, but I'm just wondering how they compare to the contenders in the same price class.

Are you a salesman?
I'm beginning to wonder ... very odd behaviour and impatient slews of posts on the same topic ... pissing me off, frankly.

7 out of 28 posts? doesnt seem like a salesman to me but then again, it got us talking about it. as for me, this is the first I've head of redline and maybe I'm passing up a good deal or something but I'll stick with the mics that are already in the USA in a warehouse somewhere waiting to be shipped to me at my beckon.

lol sorry i was looking at the name of the link and looking up info about my car's dyno jet...thus i was thinking of redline racing and redlining my car's engine...as a side note...150 horsepower...original was 170. not bad considering the car is 22 years old

I'm not saying he is, I'm asking him if he is. It .... I don't know. I came across one of his other posts first. Some guy asking about RadioShack mics and he goes into offering him some Red5. Then I find this thread which he started asking about Redline (which was started before the other one by a day) and then two posts later, in the thread he is asking about Red5 he's turns around and tells someone where they can buy it? I mean I've done some stupid shit on this BBS. Posted a question and then answered my own question. I did that the other day in the Recording forum, 'cause I found my own mistake.
