recover after break-down

Hi after 3 hours of recording this shit bugged and I lost all tracks.

Now normally I would choose : recover last session.
But the fucking thing breaks down every time I close it now. So the last session is always the session that broke down and thus an empty session and not the one I need.

Is there any location where the wav files are temporarly stored for recovery or am I just fucking fucked? Any help would be appreciated ALOT !!

What version of CEP/AA are you using?
In AA, all the tracks are saved automatically in the folder you saved the session in.
In CEP I think you're out of luck.

always used to happen to me when i tried to save the session with out saving the files first. I had similar problems with premiere pro once.. try looking in proram files (in the audition folder) somewhere for backups as it was the for premiere.

Never, in all my years of using CE, CEP, CEP 2.0, CEP 2.1 have I had this issue.

Are you using 2 drives, ie. one for CE and one for tracks?
Just curious.

I'd like to help you, can you tell me a little about how you
save trax,
your temp files setup location and reserve memory used,
when do u save trax,
your system in general,
drives set-up,
O/S....etc....

tell me (us) and I'll (we'll) see if I (we) can help.

1 hard-disk : 2 partitions: c:\temp 800 mb
d:\temp 500 mb

I did not save the files and the session crashed, after I did: continue session it crashed again :s

NO NO NO NO NO!!!! It is not a lost cause!! (yet!)
Did you use your partitioned space (i take it that this is drive D) to save your files originally?

Go into your C drive and find the CEP temp file there. Copy and paste it to your d drive (partitioned space)...just in case your some of your music data was saved there.

If so...(in an attempt to recover this particular session), you could now reinstall CEP into c drive, then 're-point' it at your folder you created your original music trax on. Remember, that CEP saves your files to a 'temp(s)' directory(s), at the very least!!

Ok....if this still doesn't work...it is lost.

Maybe you've tried this already?

Would you like me to give you a configuration that would prevent this from happening in future?...if so, I'll help you with that. (you'll require 2 drives though)
It's just that I'm at work at the moment!!
